After numerous request to get out on the water after lockdown from prospective new sailors Tony & Sigi started a new sailing school in Port Elizabeth. Thus Bay Sailing Academy was born.
Both Tony & Sigi have a vast background in sailing locally and internationally over the past 30 years. They currently own two keelboats and are used for training crews and prospective skippers on how to sail. The yachts are a Simonis designed Fast 42 Coastal Cruiser racer and a J27, a day sailor. Having the two offer a great combination is sail Training in relatively high-performance yachts and caters for young and old alike.
The sailing program is fully booked for the remainder of the 2020 year with 20 odd students lined up courses starting at Competent crew and some students going all the way to Yacht Master Offshore with in the next year.
Two of the current students have recently acquired their own yachts and intend going cruising at the end of 2021.
