COASTAL SKIPPER MILE LOGGING TRIPS.

We offer coastal trips for aspirant Coastal skipper’s to build their sea miles. Preferably you will hold a SAS Day skippers certificate and have logged approximately 400 nm before embarking on passage making trips.

We offer the theory and Practical sailing required to all candidates, and tailor programs to suit your current sailing experience.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

You will be sailing on a 32ft  Muira Yacht called Tikalox yacht. Provisioning for the trip will be provided for by Bay Sailing Academy. The trips will be from port to port. Transport to and from the starting and destination port will be for your account. (Not provided)

Course Content

You will be required to do all the passage planning, provisioning and logistics for the trip. You will get the first-hand experience at night watch hours, offshore sailing and life onboard a yacht over extended periods.

What to bring?

  • Clothing suitable for coastal sailing, Offshore Jacket and pants.
  • Warm clothing suitable for a night passage.
  • Non-marking, soft shoes.
  • Sunglasses (string tie)
  • Cap or hat (string tie)
  • Sunscreen
